An Icebreaker Reception (included in the registration fee) will be held on Monday 11 May at the conference venue. A conference dinner (to be booked in addition to the registration) will be organized for Wednesday 13 May at a special location in Berlin.
Additionally, technical tours will be offered. They will take place after the closing of the conference on Friday 15 May or Saturday 16 May. The tours will take you to technical facilities of DLR in Berlin and its vicinity, as well as to the historic Science Park “Albert Einstein” on Telegraphenberg in Potsdam, some 30 min. southwest of Berlin, featuring numerous historic scientific installations and observatories including the famous Einstein Tower. Nowadays, Telegraphenberg is home for many research facilities, including the German Research Center for Geosciences (GFZ), the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research (PIK), the Potsdam section of the Alfred Wegener Institute for Polar and Marine Research (AWI), and the Astrophysical Institute Potsdam (AIP).
Additionally, a counter of the Berlin tourist office will be at your disposal at the conference venue to offer you tailor-made options for social and cultural activities.
